Working Principle of a Hydraulic Gas Booster

A hydraulic gas booster increases gas pressure using hydraulic energy. Process Overview:

  • Low-pressure gas enters the booster.
  • The hydraulic cylinder drives a reciprocating piston powered by hydraulic oil.
  • The piston compresses the gas in the chamber, increasing pressure.
  • Check valves control gas direction and prevent backflow.
  • Cooling jackets or heat exchangers maintain safe operating temperatures.
  • The high-pressure gas exits for downstream use.
